INTRODUCTION:
Paenibacillus polymyxa (Formerly called Bacillus polymyxa) is a Gram-positive, spore-forming, rod-shaped bacterium that has many beneficial properties for gardening and agriculture. This inoculant contains soil probiotics can promote crop growth by increasing root development, improving nutrient uptake, and enhancing drought tolerance. Moreover, they act as organic soil soluble fertilizers to degrade pollutants in grow media, like polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and heavy metals.

Mode of Action
Nitrogen fixation: Convert atmospheric nitrogen into a form that is usable by crops. This helps to improve maintaining fertility and promoting plant growth.
Phosphate solubilization: Producing enzymes that can solubilize insoluble phosphates in farmland, making them available for uptake.
Biocontrol agent: Secrete antibiotics and secondary metabolites, including polymyxins and bacitracin, that have biocontrol activity against pathogens like Fusarium and Phytophthora species.
Rhizosphere colonization: Colonize the root zone and form symbiotic relationships with the roots.
Plant growth-promoting: Produce a range substances, including indole acetic acid (IAA), gibberellins, and cytokinins, that can stimulate nutrient uptake, and enhancing drought tolerance.
Organic soil conditioner: Degrade various polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons pollutants. Incorporating inoculants rich in beneficial bacteria and other soil probiotics into your gardening routine can improve plant growth without the environmental damage caused by chemical fertilizers.

Application Rate
Preparation: Mix the microbe feeding fertilizer powder can be mixed with water to form a suspension, which can then be applied to the grow media or foliage.
Dosage:  Recommended dosage is 2-3 kgs per hectare, can be soil drench or watering irrigation.
Application frequency: Can be applied at planting, during crop development, or at any other stage. It is also possible to reapply the soil probiotics at regular intervals at 30 days.
Optimal growth conditions: optimally grows at temperatures between 20-40°C, and in an alkaline to neutral pH environment.
For a healthy microbial ecosystem and to maintain biodiversity, it is important to use a diverse range of bacteria and fungi, including Rhizobia, Mycorrhizal fungi, Trichoderma, Azotobacter and Bacillus Subtilis.
